If I am there for journalcon, I am all over the karoke+courtney. And if I am there, I am dragging thisendup, who is all about karaoke anyway.

No fucking way am I singing at JournalCon! Nobody told me we had to sing! You'd think they'd warn us. My God, the only song I know all the words to is "Hotel California"!!!! Yeah, I'll be over in the geezers and curmudgeon corner if you need me. ~LA

Oh hey maybe I'll go if some other non-singers are going!

I still think the opportunity for blackmail photos is a really good one . . .

Ok, I woulda called you except I don't have your phone number. :P But, thanks for giving me the heads up on Punkin. I guess it was after I discovered he ate a big spider (one that I had already crushed, and left a big boot on top - but he moved it in the 30 seconds it took me to get a paper towel to clean up the remains) that I noticed the drooling. But, then I started thinking that he's always dripping (eyes and nose), so maybe his original respiratory thing has flared up. And? It could also be his teeth - he's ALWAYS had stank ass breath, and he'd been to the vet since we got him (just not after the declaw), so I figured that they would have said something if there was a problem. So you're saying that he doesn't need all the shots if it hasn't been 3 years? I just don't want to tramatize the poor thing by dragging him to the vet and then getting poked several times if I don't have to.

you know that i'm a karoake addict, right? i've been on the wagon for about four months now but your story makes me want to call up my old pals. well, actually i don't have any of their numbers because i know exactly where they'll be... and how drunk they'll be, too. YAY for karaoke!

I loved The Wedding Singer version of that song, too funny. I (with my awful voice) always sing Friends in Low Places whenever I want to annoy my husband or friends. Glad you had fun!

You know... I have to admit, I have never done the karaoke thing. :P Unless you count those stupid booths they had in the 80's, where they let you record to the lyric-less music in a 'real' recording booth... and that was SCARY. ;) You don't wanna hear me sing. You just don't. I was in a play once, where I hadta sing... *twitch* that was bad enough. ;)
