I have been wondering just WHAT is going on at Diaryland??? Is there a HATER on the loose AGAIN? My daughter has had a lot of trouble with them and then they decide to HATE me as well. SHEESH! Mother-in-laws....YIKES! I THOUGHT my mother-in-law liked me, but I was wrong. Four years ago when my husband was having an affair they decided to NOT talk to me ever again. LIKE THAT WAS MY FAULT!. Now that we are getting a divorce they even deleted me off the family email address. I hope things work out better for you. My husband NEVER stood up for me and that REALLY pissed me off. My parents always treated him fairly.

I think you were very fair and well spoken in the letter to your mother-in-law. Maybe your husband isn't buying into the drama because it is ALWAYS a drama when it comes to his mom. My husband loves his mom, but makes little effort toward her and when I asked him about it, he just shrugs. Lazy, I think, but it is his business. I hope you don't waste too much energy on the negative, things work out for the best eventually. About the haters, I don't get their motivation. Just to be pests?

This connundrum boggles me. Being that you and the FH have a great relationship and you make him happy I cannot understand where her glitch is. If her son was incredibly dysfunctional I could see where a momma might fall into a "blame the wife" trap (thus avoiding the "blame the mother" trap) but I am befuddled on this and can't say much but I've got your back. And I have "disco in my back pocket" oh- if only.

If your husband doesn't seem to care, then I guess you have to act the same why. You did what you could and wrote the letter; if your MIL doesn't respond, then it's her lose. I'm assuming your husband isn't in contact with her, is he?

Of course, I also noticed my hair is almost identical to Famke Janssen's in X2 so I am all over having Jean Grey's haircolor, even if it's only the movie version. No one has actually mentioned the change except for (of course) Scott. He doesn't ask anything about the girls as I drop them off, he asks me- half asleep and cranky "Dye your hair red?" No. I have a secret head wound shithead.
