Ok, for Serena's chatroom - what server are you connecting to? I bet that is your problem. If you just go with the one that mIRC prompts you with, you're on the wrong one. When you open mIRC, it will bring up the "Option" screen. This will have your name, email address, nickname, etc. Fill that crap in. Then on the left side you should have (under where it says "Connect", it will say "Servers". Click on that. Make sure the IRC Network you choose is "Realirc", and the IRC Server should say something like "Realirc: Random server". Once you've specified that Realirc stuff, then click "Connect to Server." If this doesn't help, I dunno what else to tell ya! :)
