one of my classmates had lyme disease, too and he was just diagnosed with it when i met him. i think it's terrible when the medical community doesn't take EVERY illness seriously! isn't that their fucking job?!

I had Lymes Disease. I got bit by a tick and Jim noticed a red bullesye ring around it a week later and I went to the doctor and got on antibiotics. I'm okay. Caught it just in time to prevent it to spread inot something like your friend has. Thats too bad. Give her lots of help and love. :)

It's not so much as doctors don't know how much it ravages our bodies they do. It's just hard to diagnosis sometimes. Jenn above had hers diagnosed early which is good. If you don't have classic symptoms it's super hard to make a proper dx. How do I know? I had it. I know how long term permanent damage because of it.
