I prefer to make my own chex mix. I make it like it says on the box but I leave out the peanuts and the pretzels. Yes, I know, that just leaves the chex. I think the reason I even eat the stuff is because I love the garlic and soy sauce. But I can't just eat (drink) it by itself.

I'm pretty picky about my trail mix myself. I now go to Whole Foods and buy the items I love in bulk and toss it all together. No icky rye crisps or coconut. Not a fan of the coconut in trail mix.
