Yeah I know.
But I decided to for once and for all that I was going to whip this sorry ass into shape. So today I got my ass out of bed at 5 am. I did 60 minutes of cardio. Yeah...60 FUCKING MINUTES! BOOYAH! (Now I cannot walk....but it was worth it. Kidding....actually I am doing well....) I came home and napped a bit. I had to go at 5 am because that is when Ashley could go and we are going together.
After the nap, we took the dogs to the off leash dog park. Or as I like to call it The Dog Orgasm Park. My dogs are in a state of ecstacy the entire time. Grommit can run around ankle biting to his hearts contend. Stewart can run around to the beat of the different handicapable drummer he marches to. Brynn can swim until she grows fins. It was mega dog fun.
Then the highlight of the day happened. Ashley and I went to the Sunset Tavern in Ballard to see Michelle Malone. We got a pleasant suprise. Actually I got many pleasant suprises. Number one was Camille Bloom. She opened up for Michelle and besides being absolutley fucking adorable....she plays the most excellent music. Check out her website HERE. She was awesome and she signed my CD that I bought. She was quite taken back to be asked for an autograph so that was cool. Then Malone came on and was AWESOME. She was so spunky tonight. A lot of the attendees were sort of stick in the muddin' it but I wasn't and neither was Ashley and Malone knew it. She kept pointing at us and the Indigo Girls BBS'ers sitting next to us because we were really into it. She tossed a pic out and Ashley got it for me. I also bought a CD and Michelle signed it. It was also cool to meet some BBS'ers and put faces to names. I am sure that we will meet again in line at the Pier come this summer. (AND SPIKE, your ears should be burning!!!) I was also mega excited when Malone broke into Bitterroot in the middle of Preacher's Daughter.
I am so tired though....I am going to try and return to my normal programming soon. I sort of fell off this horse and need to get back in the saddle one more time.
